Banalog - Diver
BANALOG is a Korean project band combining electronic and analog instruments with 4 members who're not formally educated in music, and the name "BANALOG" means half digital and half analog. The first home recording 'BANALOG Ep.1' consists of 5 tracks which brings you diverse epic and sound.The first track 'Drift' compares human relationship to adrift boat wandering in a misty ocean, and it starts with light-tempo-beat and gloomy atmosphere of analog synthesizer but ends with acoustic melody reversing to warm mood.The second track 'Trap' talks about someone's sight dancing in the club late night, and it’s musically impressive due to rhythmical base, medium-tempo-beat and oriental melody of analog synthesizer.The title 'Diver' is inspired by a man who compares himself to diver in the deep sea reminiscing after break-up, and its low base melody and heavy sound of space sense tend to make the music gloomy and dark linking harmonious and noisy sound in general.The fourth track 'The rain of radio wave' reflects the image of person left alone gazing a back pushed off whose break up with, and it features not only chill beat and melody but also heroic sound.The last track 'Too many people' is a story about memories of love, good-bye and coincidence and it has interesting effects such as hilarious and warm sound from synthesizer and lots of acoustic sound which are based on rhythmical acoustic guitar different from other tracks.
